It looks like Moran Norris and Brit Miller will have a little competition this offseason. The 49ers today signed 250-pound fullback FB Jehuu Caulcrick to a future contract. Caulcrick played at Michigan State where he scored 39 touchdowns, the second-most in school history. He was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He spent most of that season on the Jets practice squad. He spent time on both the Jets and the Buccaneers practice squads this past season.
Considering the following footage, I'm surprised John and Jed York, Notre Dame alums, allowed Caulcrick to be signed ...
In a letter to 49ers employees, team president Jed York announced a reorganization of the team structure that eliminates the chief operating officer and adds a chief marketing officer. That move means Andy Dolich, who was hired two years ago with much fanfare, will no longer be the COO. York said that Dolich would instead be a senior adviser to him.
