Hit on Williams draws fine, but it's not on Robinson

The hit that left 49ers receiver Kyle Williams with a concussion drew a fine from the NFL this week, but it wasn't given to the Seahawks player who drew the penalty. On the play, former 49er Michael Robinson was penalized for unnecessary roughness after he and Adrian Moten sandwiched Williams, who had slipped on the play while returning a kickoff. The 49ers went on for a game-winning field goal on the drive.

But it was Moten who was hit with a $7,500 fine for hitting Williams late. The blow left Williams lying motionless on the turf and led to a fracas between 49ers and Seahawks special teamers. Williams has not yet been cleared to practice, and his availibility for Sunday is very much in doubt.

In addition, cornerback Richard Sherman was fined $15,000 for a horse-collar tackle on running back Frank Gore.

****Update**** Michael Sando, who works for an outlet called "ESPN," reports that 49ers tackle Anthony Davis was fined $10,000 for rolling up an opponent's leg.
