Ted Ginn is inactive for today's game with a knee injury suffered last week against the Saints. That means that Kyle Williams will start the game and take over at least the punt-return duties today. Williams or running back Kendall Hunter are likely to return kicks. Ginn missed every practice this week.
Meanwhile, Delanie Walker is active, is warming up and could start the game. He was the team's leading receiver when the 49ers played the Giants in November, catching six passes for 69 yards.
The other 49ers inactives are, FB Moran Norris, CB Shawntae Spencer, QB Scott Tolzien, tackle Mike Person, guard Daniel Kilgore and defensive tackle Ian Williams.
Inactives for the Giants: WR Ramses Barden, RB Da'Rel Scott, C Jim Cordle, LB Mark Herzlich, DE Justin Trattou, DT Jimmy Kennedy, T James Brewer
Jason Pierre-Paul will start in place of Osi Umenyiora at right defensive end for the Giants. Rookie Henry Hynoski will start at fullback in place of Bear Pascoe.
