Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are playing Google interns in their next movie. But on Sunday, they could have passed as 49ers assistant coaches.
The two famous faces were decked out in 49ers gear and seemed to be part of the team's sideline contingent. When someone told me that Owen Wilson was here, I thought they were making a joke about the forearm that Alex Smith took to the bridge of his nose.
Vaughn and Wilson not only were on hand, they walked into the locker room with the team and bore witness to Jim Harbaugh's "Who's Got it Better than Us?" post-game ritual. Wilson ran around the field after the game catching - but mostly missing - passes from a buddy. The two took pictures with half-dressed 49ers in the locker room afterward.
Apparently, the link is Harbaugh. The actors reached out to him during the week, asked if they could attend the game and Harbaugh acquiesced. I don't know if there's any back story here but I'll try to find out at Harbaugh's noon presser.

I spoke to Vince briefly (yes, I just referred to him by his first name), and he said he and Wilson have been filming "The Internship" in the area. The two play 40-somethings who lose their jobs and then try to navigate their way through Google's intern program.
That premise is so money.
