Tight end Delanie Walker, who took a hard shot to the hip, was the only 49er who didn't practice today. Walker said Tuesday the injury was not a long-term issue and that he'd play Sunday in St. Louis. If he can't, undrafted rookie Garrett Celek would see more action. Walker led all receivers with 81 receiving yards Sunday.
Meanwhile, two 49ers were in black, no-contact jerseys Wednesday. NFL sack leader Aldon Smith is dealing with a shoulder injury. He has missed a play in each of the last two games. Safety and special teams player Darcel McBath apparently suffered a concussion Sunday. Both were limited.
Kicker David Akers also was limited with a pelvis injury. Akers was observed kicking field goals Wednesday, some from as far away as 50 yards. The 49ers likely will sign either Nate Kaeding or Billy Cundiff to a short-term contract if Akers is unable to play Sunday.
The rest of the 49ers on the injury report practiced in full. They are: CB Tarell Brown (knee), T Anthony Davis (finger), S Dashon Goldson (ribs, calf), LB Tavares Gooden (elbow), RB Frank Gore (wrist, ribs), WR Mario Manningham (shoulder), S Donte Whitner (knee), LB Patrick Willis (shoulder).
For the Rams, 49er killer Danny Amendola missed practice and was in a walking boot, just as he was at this time last week.
LB Mario Haggan (elbow), RB Steven Jackson (foot), DE Robert Quinn (concussion), C Scott Wells (knee) also did not practice.
