Harbaugh: Randy Moss would be welcomed back for 2013

Jim Harbaugh says he plans to ask Randy Moss to stick around one more year, and Moss' teammates said they want the veteran receiver back, too.

"I, for one, definitely want Randy to come back," Harbaugh said today. "Hope he feels the same way." Moss, however, said he hasn't decided yet on another year. "We'll know once the season's over, bro," he said at his locker.

The 35-year-old wideout signed a one-year deal a year ago. He began the season as part of a receiver rotation that also included Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams. ACL tears, however, knocked Williams and Manningham out for the season, and Moss has had an increasingly large role as the wideout opposite Crabtree.

Moss finished the regular season with 28 catches, 434 yards and averaged 15.5 yards a reception, second only to Delanie Walker's 16.4-yard average. He had two catches for 25 yards against the Packers on Saturday.

Carlos Rogers agreed with Harbaugh that Moss would be welcomed back with open arms. And not just for his receiving skills. As Rogers was talking to half a dozen reporters, Moss walked by and suggested Rogers tell us about the secret flea-flicker play this week in which Rogers plays a key role.

The cornerback just laughed. "He's a guy that we need in the locker room," Rogers said.

Safety Dashon Goldson was fined $10,000 for a late hit against the Packers; Colin Kaepernick, however, was not fined for his "taunting" penalty. Harbaugh characterized the infraction as "ticky tack" earlier in the week.

As was the case last week, there are a lot of 49ers on the injury report, but all of them are listed as probable. They are:

G Alex Boone (knee), LB Navorro Bowman (shoulder), CB Tarell Brown (shoulder), TE Garrett Celek (foot), CB Chris Culliver (knee), S Goldson (shin), LB Tavares Gooden (knee), RB Frank Gore (knee), LB Clark Haggans (shoulder), G Mike Iupati (shoulder), RB Bruce Miller (shoulder), LB Aldon Smith (shoulder), DT Justin Smith (elbow, triceps), LB Patrick Willis (shoulder)

For the Falcons, DE John Abraham (ankle) and DT Jonathan Babineaux (shoulder) are listed as questionable; S William Moore (hand), LB Stephen Nicholas (foot) and CB Christopher Owens (hamstring) are probable.
