Super Bowl pregame: Akers solid in warm-ups

David Akers never has had an issue in practice or in warm-ups, and he didn't today.

With special teams coach Brad Seely - and later, Jim Harbaugh - looking on, Akers missed only three of 28 attempts. The misses came from 60 yards (twice) and from 55. Akers also made two 55-yard attempts and one from 53. Akers warmed up from both side of the field.

As every 49ers will attest, Akers is perhaps the biggest wild card of the game. He had a career-low 69 percent field goal percentage this season and missed a league-high 13 kicks during the regular season, two of them potential overtime winners. Akers also missed a 38-yard attempt, his only one of the game, last week in Atlanta.

He was 1-3 with a blocked attempt the last time the 49ers were in New Orleans on Nov. 25.
