49ers lineup: four wide receivers, two nose tackles

The 49ers will head into today's game against the Packers with two nose tackles, Ian Williams and Glenn Dorsey, in uniform, a mild surprise given how often the Packers have passed the ball against San Francisco in the past.

In the two meetings last season, the Packers used three or four receivers on 88 percent of their offensive plays. In those instances, the nose tackle comes out of the game and a third cornerback goes in. Both Williams and Dorsey can play defensive end as well as nose tackle. Tony Jerod-Eddie, a backup defensive end, also is active for the game.

Will Tukuafu is the lone defensive lineman inactive for the 49ers today, which may hint that he is the odd man out when Demarcus Dobbs returns from a one-game suspension. Newcomer wide receiver Jon Baldwin also is inactive. That means the four active 49ers wide receivers are Anquan Boldin, Kyle Williams, Marlon Moore and Quinton Patton.

For the Packers, starting safety Morgan Burnett will not play. He is replaced in the starting lineup by Jerron McMillian, No. 22.

49ers inactives:
QB B.J. Daniels (third QB)
WR/TE Chris Harper
RB LaMichael James
DL Will Tukuafu
LB Nate Stupar
G Joe Looney
WR Jon Baldwin

Packers inactives:
CB Casey Hampton
S Morgan Burnett
LB Nate Palmer
LB Sam Barrington
G Lane Taylor
TE Brandon Bostick
DE Josh Boyd
