49ers waive WR Moore; spot opens for Manningham's return

The 49ers have reportedly waived wide receiver Marlon Moore today, which opens up a spot on San Francisco's 53-man roster that the team will most likely use to bring back injured receiver Mario Manningham.

The 49ers have until Nov. 6 to activate Manningham or place him on the season-ending injured reserve list. Manningham, who suffered a season-ending knee surgery last Dec. 23 against the Seattle Seahawks, is currently on the physically unable to perform list.

The 49ers (6-2) have a bye this Sunday and will return Nov. 10 to play the Carolina Panthers at Candlestick Park.

Moore, a Natomas High School graduate, played in six games this season and caught one pass.
