Feisty Rams-49ers game produces one fine (and it's not to T.J. McDonald)

The 49ers-Rams game was preceded by tough talk between the teams at the 50-yard line and ended with 20 penalties. But it only produced one fine. Left guard Adam Snyder was hit with a $7,875 bill for his personal foul in the second quarter.

Personal fouls and 15-yard penalties were abundant in the game. Linebacker Jo Lonn Dunbar, cornerback Trumaine Johnson, defensive end Chris Long and special teams player Cody Davis were all penalized during the game for the Rams. Dunbar's penalty was for an illegal hit on scrambling quarterback Colin Kaepernick. San Francisco safety C.J. Spillman also was flagged for a personal foul. None, however, was fined.

Also escaping a fine was Rams safety T.J. McDonald, who awkwardly tackled tight end Vernon Davis by dragging him down via the groinal region. Davis missed the following play and reported lingering soreness earlier this week.
