The 49ers today signed the remaining members of their practice squad, quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson and running back Jewel Hampton, to reserve/future deals as they begin to compile their 90-man offseason roster.

Bethel-Thompson is from San Francisco and played at UCLA and Sacramento State. The 49ers added him to their active roster midseason before moving him to the practice squad. He'll compete for a backup job, perhaps with free-agent-to-be Colt McCoy or a rookie draft pick, in the offseason.

Hampton was an undrafted free agent in 2012 who spent the most recent season on the practice squad. He'll be in the mix at running back along with Frank Gore, Marcus Lattimore, Kendall Hunter and LaMichael James.

Bethel-Thomspon is one of three players with Sacramento area ties. Defensive lineman Christian Tupou and receiver Devon Wylie also are from the area.

The players signed to reserve/future deals so far:

QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson
OT Carter Bykowski
S D.J. Campbell
RB Jewel Hampton
WR Chuck Jacobs
OT/G Al Netter
NT Mike Purcell
WR David Reed
WR DeMarco Sampson
P/K Colton Schmidt
DB Dax Swanson
DT Christian Tupou
WR Devon Wylie
