Game-ending pic: Bee's photo lands on Sports Illustrated

Congratulations to The Bee's Paul Kitagaki Jr., whose photo of the biggest play in the playoffs to date - Richard Sherman's last-minute swat in the end zone - landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Ah, but this is only one of several keepers taken by the Bee photogs and others at the game.

Here's our gallery from Seattle. As rough as some of the recent playoff outcomes have been for the 49ers, every game has been well-played and dramatic, some of them instant classics. Sunday's was another. It ranks up there with the 2011 season games against New Orleans and the Giants in my book. Check out all that is happening in picture 44, the agony of picture 25, the juxtaposition of picture 50.

Very good stuff.
