A's reinstate Rosales from DL; Céspedes in Sacramento

The A's welcome Adam Rosales back into the fold tonight as they return from a 1-5 East Coast road trip. Rosales, who began the season on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left intercostal muscle, was reinstated from the DL this afternoon. The A's optioned infielder Andy Parrino to Triple-A Sacramento to make room on the roster.

Rosales started his rehab with Single-A Stockton on April 17 and transferred to the River Cats on April 21. He went 2-for-13 in three games with the River Cats.

Outfielder Yoenis Céspedes begins a rehab stint tonight in Sacramento. Céspedes went on the DL on April 13 with a strained muscle in his left hand suffered when he slid into second base. He's eligible to come off the DL on Sunday.

The River Cats also added outfielder Michael Taylor to their roster after the A's optioned him earlier this week. Taylor was originally called up to replace Céspedes, and was sent back down after the A's acquired outfielder Casper Wells from Toronto.
