I-5 reopened in downtown Sacramento; flooding on Highway 50

LS BIG RIGA.jpgInterstate 5 in downtown Sacramento is open again after being closed northbound for several hours this morning with a big rig collided with an SUV.

Numerous crashes are being reported on Sacramento area roads today during the first major storm of the season.

The California Highway Patrol reported flooding on Highway 50 in both directions just east of Cameron Park Drive in El Dorado County. The freeway remains open. Officials urge drivers use caution.
