The Sacramento Police Departmet seeks the public help in identifying a man wanted for a sexual assault that took place at 4:35 p.m. at 21st Street and Castro Way in the Curtis Park neighborhood.

The suspect approached the victim from behind, tapped her on the shoulder, and asked for directions to the post office. After giving directions, the victim continued to walk northbound on 21st Street. The suspect re-approached the victim and sexually assaulted here, pushing her to the ground. Following a brief struggle, the victim was able to fight off her attacker.
The suspect is described as a well-groomed Hispanic male in his mid-30s. He is 5-foot-6, 180 to 200 pounds with a stocky build. He had thick black hair, was clean shaven, and was wearing a white T-shirt with a large emblem on the front. Witnesses saw the suspect the area in a mid-sized lime green SUV. It may have had a custom paint job.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
