Three teenagers have been arrested for suspicion of spitting on a 2-year-old boy and the child's mother in a Woodland park. The mother was also allegedly kicked and bitten.

Woodland Police said the incident occurred about 2 p.m. Tuesday when the young mother and her son were at Ferns Park. The little boy was spit upon and when the mother confronted the teens she was also spit upon and knocked to the ground.
The mother also allegedly was kicked several times, including to the face. The mother was bitten as well, according to a police press release.
Woodland later arrested three 14-year-old Woodland residents on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment and battery for their suspected involvement in the assault.
