From Art Campos:
Three burglary suspects in flight returned to the scene of their alleged crime - where they were arrested by investigating officers, Roseville police said.
Aiding police was a Granite Bay resident who spotted the three at what turned out to be a second burglary, said department spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther. The resident pursued the men's fleeing vehicle, which they drove back to the site of the first crime, she said.
The incident began at 4:10 a.m. Monday when a Roseville resident on Gettysburg Court heard a loud noise and discovered that a neighbor's car window had been smashed, Gunther said. The resident described a gray, four-door sedan as leaving the area, she said.
Taken in the burglary was a radar detector, she said.
At 4:34 a.m., a Granite Bay resident called Placer County sheriff's officers to report that someone was looking into the trunk of his neighbor's car on Wood Thrush Way, Gunther said. The resident, who had driven past the scene, made a U-turn and followed the suspects' vehicle, a Chrysler four-door sedan that the suspects drove back to Gettysburg Court, she said.
Police, who were still taking a report on the first burglary, stopped the suspects, recovered the stolen radar detector and stereo equipment taken in the Granite Bay burglary, Gunther said.
Arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy were Mitchell Edward Moore, 18, of Citrus Heights, Richard William Colter, 19, of Fair Oaks, and Wesley Grant Henderson II, 21, of Orangevale.
