The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department's sexual assault detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect they believe is responsible for a home-invasion robbery and sexual assault that occurred shortly before 11 a.m. Friday near El Camino Avenue and Catalina Drive in the Arden Arcade area.
According to authorities, the 42-year-old woman told sheriff's deputies that after she was forced from her garage into her residence, the gunman sexually assaulted her and ordered her to drive to a bank and withdraw money that was to be left at a specific location near Watt and El Camino avenues.
The victim described the assailant as a black male with short hair, age 20 to 25, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He had short black hair and was clean shaven. The suspect was wearing a white sleeveless tank-style T-shirt, red basketball shorts and black shoes with laces. The suspect was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, authorities report.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call sheriff's detectives at (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward.
