From Stan Oklobdzija:
Rancho Cordova Police officials are hunting for a brazen robber who attempted three hold-ups on Monday within the span of 15 minutes.
According to sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Tim Curran, the man started his spree around 9:39 a.m. at an auto parts store on the 10800 block of Folsom Blvd.
Armed with a black semi-automatic pistol, he held up a clerk at the store and made off with the money in the register, Curran said.
Not satisfied, apparently, he crossed the street into the parking lot of a liquor store and held up a customer, Curran said.
Shortly after, the man attempted to rob another person in a parking lot on the 3300 block of Quality Drive, about a mile away from the first two robberies, Curran said.
The man, described as an African American in his 20s standing about 5-feet 7-inches and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, Curran said. The suspect is clean-shaven, has short black hair and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans or shorts.
He was last seen driving a mid-90s four-door green Honda or Hyundai, Curran said.
Anyone with information is urged to call (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
