From Chelsea Phua:
Police are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman in her home near Lawrence Park on July 8.
The man, described as Caucasian or Hispanic in his late 30s, entered the garage when no one was home and waited.
The victim returned to her home in the 4900 block of 48th Street from work at 8:45 p.m. and heard noises coming from the garage. She opened the garage door and saw the man in the doorway. He grabbed her neck and forced her into a bedroom where he sexually assaulted her. He then fled on foot.
The victim told police she did not know her assailant and had never seen him before.
On Sunday, the victim reported seeing the man again in the area of Lawrence Park, riding an older-style silver bicycle.
The assailant (top left sketch) is about 6 feet and 170 pounds with unkempt shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. He was unshaven and had a full goatee. He was wearing a gray thermal shirt, black jeans and black steel-toed boots. He also has an armband-type tattoo (top right sketch) on his upper left arm and a deformity or scarring near his left eye.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
