From David Richie:
Investigators have linked the man who robbed Bank of America on Douglas Boulevard in Roseville on Tuesday to at least seven previous bank robberies that have occurred since October, including bank robberies in Roseville, Citrus Heights and Auburn.
The man (left photo) walked into the bank at 2221 Douglas Boulevard at Eureka Road about 10:36 a.m. He demanded cash. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries.
Investigators also released a more detailed description of the suspect: A white male in his 40s, about 5-feet-9-inches tall with a medium build. He has sandy blond hair and was unshaven during Tuesday's robbery. A previous release indicated that he was wearing a red beanie, but that description also has been revised. Police say that he was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, and a red jacket over a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
He was spotted driving away from the bank in a dirty green mid-1990s minivan, possibly an Oldsmobile or Pontiac.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Roseville Police Investigations Unit at (916) 774-5070, Roseville Crime Stoppers, (916) 783-7867, the FBI's Sacramento office at (916) 481-9110, or Sacramento Violent Crime Task Force at (916) 874-5115.
