From Niesha Lofing:
A Pollock Pines man is in custody this morning for allegedly kidnapping and raping two women during the past year.
Sacramento police arrested Shane Wilson (photo left), 36, at his home in the 5400 block of Shooting Star Road in Pollock Pines Thursday night, police spokesman Sgt. Norm Leong said in a press release.
On two separate occasions over the last year, Wilson allegedly picked up a woman on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento, took her to an industrial area and forcibly restrained her. The two female victims were both taken against their will to a home where they allegedly were sexually assaulted, he said.
The victims were then driven back to Stockton Boulevard and released.
Leong said he couldn't disclose when the women were assaulted or the duration of time between the two alleged crimes because of the ongoing investigation.
Police also will not disclose how they uncovered Wilson's connection with the alleged assaults or what was found at Wilson's home.
"There's a lot of follow up to do," he said.
Police are not commenting on why the women were on Stockton Boulevard, but said that "they voluntarily got into the vehicle."
"We think there could be other victims out there," Leong said.
Wilson is being held in Sacramento Main Jail on $500,000 bail, according to online jail records. He is being held on suspicion of oral copulation by force, rape, sodomy and forcibly taking someone out of the city or state and false imprisonment, all felonies, records show.
He also is being held on an arrest warrant from the California Highway Patrol.
Wilson is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
