From Sandy Louey:
A Yolo County jury on Wednesday convicted a 52-year-old West Sacramento man for molesting a friend's 6-year-old daughter.
The jury found Anatoly Kadoshnikov guilty on two counts of child molestation. During 1996 to 1997, he was staying at a friend's home in Yolo County, according to a press release from the Yolo County District Attorney's Office.
The girl kept the molestation a secret until she was 15, the DA's office said.
During the same time frame, Kadoshnikov was also molesting a 12-year-old girl in Sacramento County, the DA's office said. The girl didn't report it to authorities until 2003 when she was 17.
Her case wasn't prosecuted, but she was allowed to tell the jury about the attacks, authorities said.
Kadoshnikov is scheduled to be sentenced March 30. He is facing up to 10 years in state prison and will have to register as a sexual offender, the DA's office said.
