From Sandy Louey:
Redding police arrested a 20-year-old woman who allegedly hit two people with her vehicle Monday night.
At 8:57 p.m., officers were called out to the 2500 block of Wyndham Lane about a disturbance call. Officers found Eden Edwards of Redding had allegedly struck Anthony Capucine, 31, and Rachella McMillan, 28, both of McCloud, with her vehicle, according to a press release from the Redding Police Department.
Edwards had gotten into an argument with the pair, who had been visiting her and the argument spilled over into the driveway of the home, police said.
Edwards backed her vehicle out of her driveway and intentionally hit McMillan, police said. Capucine was also intentionally hit when he came to McMillan's assistance, police said.
McMillan's injuries were minor, while Capucine had significant injuries to his head and ribs, police said. Both were going to seek care at Shasta Regional Medical Center.
Edwards left the scene, but later went to the Redding police to provide a statement, police said. She was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and taken to the Shasta County jail, police said.
