From Niesha Lofing:
Sacramento County residential burglary victims have a chance today to see if their items are among stolen property recovered by the sheriff's department.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies recently arrested two people allegedly connected to a series of home burglaries during the past six months in the Fair Oaks, Carmichael and Orangevale areas, a sheriff's news release states.
The suspects allegedly knocked on doors and forced entry into homes if no one answered, the release states.
Jewelry and other valuables were taken during the burglaries and traded for cash at a local pawn shop, authorities say.
Natale Russo, 28, and Sean Mantle, 28, were arrested and face charges of burglary and receiving stolen property, online Sacramento Superior Court information shows.
Detectives recovered a large amount of jewelry and will make the property available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the sheriff's department's Garfield Station, 5510 Garfield Ave., Sacramento.
To claim property, residents must have had property taken, the crime must have occurred in the past six months, and the crimes had to be reported to a law enforcement agency.
Residents also need to bring identification, proof that the recovered items belong to them and a copy of the crime report.
