From Chelsea Phua:
Mother's Day likely won't be marked in one El Dorado County residence this year as domestic relations apparently took a nasty turn.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injuries after biting her 40-year-old mother on the thigh in a fight this week, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff's department report.
Jo Rasmussen told authorities that said she had been arguing with her daughter, Jennifer Marie Stilwell, since Monday. Stilwell was staying with her foster parents and returned Tuesday afternoon to Rasmussen's Camino apartment on Roosevelt Street to collect some of her belongings.
Rasmussen said her daughter began rummaging through Rasmussen's belonging while in the garage. Rasmussen told her daughter to stop and leave, and tried to close the garage door. But her daughter attempted to keep the door open, and during the struggle, bit her on the left outer thigh and broke the skin, Rasmussen alleged. The bite mark was about two inches long and an inch wide, according to the report.
Stilwell told authorities that during the fight, her mother pushed her to the ground and pinned her down with her left leg, so Stilwell said she had to bit her mother to get her off.
Stilwell also allegedly punched her mother on the head, leaving a sore bump. Stilwell suffered some scrapes and scratches on her right elbow and thumb, the report stated.
