The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community's help in identifying two suspects wanted in a trio of purse snatchings at a North Natomas supermarket, the Sacramento Police Department reports.
According to a department news release, here's how the suspects operated during the incidents reported May 1, May 2 and May 14:
In each of the incidents, the suspects entered the Raley's market at 4650 Natomas Blvd. and began searching for a female shopper who had their purse sitting in a shopping cart. Once they located their target, they approached the woman from behind, grabbed her purse and ran out of the store.
Both suspects are described as a black males between age 16 and 18 and between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. One of the suspects was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a dark gray hood and sleeves, the other a white hooded sweatshirt with gray stripes in a checkerboard pattern.
During one incident, the suspects were seen leaving the market area in a black Honda Accord driven by an Asian woman, police officials report.
The Police Department asks anyone with information about the purse snatching to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip by texting 274637, then entering SACTIP followed by tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
