10-year-old molested in Auburn park bathroom

From Nicole Williams:

Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl Monday at the Auburn Recreation District Park at 123 Recreation Drive.

Police were called to the park at about 3:30 p.m. The girl had been assaulted in the women's bathroom, next to the public swimming pool, officials said. She was taken to a local hospital.

The suspect was seen running from the area after the assault. He is described as a white male in his late 30s, with short blond or gray hair. He was wearing a red tank top or cut-off T-shirt and shorts. He is about 5-foot-10 and weighs about 180 pounds, according to police, who had no other details.

Anyone with information about this case should call the Auburn Police Department at (530) 823-4237, ext. 207.
