From Chelsea Phua:
Sacramento police said they have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the May 1 stabbing death of a 21-year-old man in the College Greens-Glenbrook neighborhood.
Police arrested Gabriel Dominguez (left photo) on suspicion of murder after a traffic stop Saturday by Rancho Cordova police. Dominguez was a passenger inside the vehicle that was stopped.
Authorities said they believe that Dominguez was involved in a fight on May 1 outside a liquor store on Julliard Drive that killed Samuel Sanchez.
Investigators said Sanchez and several of his friends were involved in a fight with a rival gang member. During the fight, other members of the rival gang arrived and Sanchez was stabbed multiple times, authorities said.
All parties left the scene by the time police arrives. But shortly after, authorities received a call from UC Davis Medical Center reporting that three men who were stabbed in the fight had walked into the hospital. Sanchez was one of them.
