Police believe a 19-year-old from Manteca was the shooter who injured a Sacramento County sheriff's deputy after a Rocklin bank robbery over the weekend.
Jordan Elijah Latour is expected to appear in court Monday and will be formally charged with attempted murder, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
Two others - 34-year-old Loureece Clark and a 17-year-old juvenile, both from Manteca - were turned over to the Rocklin Police Department in relation to the bank robbery.
The injured deputy, Duke Lewis, is expected to recover from a single gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
The incident began about 1 p.m. Saturday when a Wells Fargo on Granite Drive in Rocklin was robbed by three people. With Rocklin police officers in pursuit, the suspects fled west on Interstate 80 and exited at Madison Avenue.
Lewis was shot just before 1:30 p.m. while investigating a citizen's report of some masked people behind the businesses at 5222 Hillsdale Blvd..
Police arrested two of the suspects as they were crossing the I-80 overpass at Madison Avenue. The third suspect was found just before 3 p.m. hiding in a backyard shed.
