Two assault suspects practically put the handcuffs on themselves, according to a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department crime summary released this week.
The pair returned to the same Sacramento store where they allegedly threatened an employee with a knife six days before, the report states.
At about 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, a loss-prevention specialist at the Walmart store in the 10000 block of Folsom Boulevard spotted two suspects who store personnel said earlier threatened an employee when they were confronted the pair on suspicion that they were shoplifting, the report states.
This time, deputies were called and they arrested the pair, the report states. Two video games were found inside the jacket sleeves of the female suspect and a methamphetamine smoking pipe also was found in her possession, the report states.
Jovon Owens, 21, was booked into jail on suspicion of petty theft, grand theft, petty theft, burglary and robbery. Online jail record showed him still in custody early Friday on about $25,000 bail.
Kayla Hurst, 18, was booked into jail on suspicion of theft, receiving stolen property and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Online jail record showed her still in custody early Friday on about $5,000 bail.
