Woodland police arrested four males this morning on suspicion of burglary and auto theft, according to a Woodland Police Department news release.
At 1:04 a.m., a Woodland police officer encountered a man in a construction area south of Tyler Drive, according to the release.
The officer detained the man due to recent thefts of copper wire in the area, the release states.
The officer later located an unreported stolen vehicle. The detained man - identified as 22-year-old Leonidas Constable of Woodland - told the officer that three other people with Constable ran away upon seeing the officer. The officer linked Constable and the three others to the stolen car, police said.
Another officer found the trio and contacted the car owner, who reported that the vehicle had been stolen from the 700 block of Bourn Drive and that the victim's residence had also been burglarized, according to the release.
Constable, 20-year-old Mathew Nichols of Woodland, and two 17-year-old males were arrested, police said.
The two adults were booked into the Yolo County Jail, police said. The juveniles were taken to the Yolo County Juvenile Hall.
