A road-rage incident led to a fight between two motorists with the one who outweighed the other by 130 pounds getting the better of the fisticuffs until Sacramento County sheriff's deputies broke it up - and said they found illegal drugs on the winner.
Booked into Sacramento County jail on suspicion of possession of drugs was Enrique Barrientos, 41, a crime summary released this week states. Jail records show Barrientos also is being held on suspicion of possession of a loaded firearm. He has been denied bail.
The crime summary gives this chain of events:
At about 11: 45 p.m. on Jan. 22, deputies saw two motorists "involved in a road-rage incident" at Auburn Boulevard and Watt Avenue.
The pair pulled into a parking lot of a nearby convenience store, got out and began fighting.
Barrientos' weight advantage - 280 pounds to the other motorists' 150 - apparently was telling before deputies could stop the fight.
Barrientos was not injured but the other motorist lost a tooth and was bleeding from his nose and mouth, deputies said.
However, a search turned up a quantity of methamphetamine on Barrientos, deputies said.
Barrientos was arrested. The other motorist declined medical treatment and was given a citation to appear in court.
