Michael Lyon's legal woes continue to mount, with two more women claiming in civil court that the former real estate executive secretly videotaped them in bathrooms of his homes.

The lawsuit filed this morning replaces one filed last October on behalf of a former nanny, who was about 16 at the time she was allegedly videotaped, and a family friend who was 18 at the time he allegedly was recorded.

The new suit adds another nanny who was in her 20s when the alleged videotaping occurred in 2006. And it adds a longtime friend of Lyon's ex-wife, Kimarie "Kim" Lyon, who allegedly was taped around 1990.

Two weeks ago, Nancy Garrido's attorney made a public plea for compassion for his client, saying she should have a chance to walk free someday after doing prison time for the Jaycee Lee Dugard kidnap.

Stephen Tapson asked for compassion, saying Nancy Garrido was like a mother to Jaycee and the two daughters that resulted from Phillip Garrido's sexual assaults upon her. He noted that the El Dorado County District Attorney was seeking a sentence that would keep Nancy Garrido in jail for the rest of her life, and said, "Unfortunately, the quality of mercy is strained in El Dorado County."

District Attorney Vern Pierson was not amused. He told reporters after a court hearing this morning that he would have strong things to say about his supposed lack of compassion, and a short time ago he issued a blistering prepared statement on the matter.

The California Highway Patrol reports that a drugged driver may have been the cause of a collision on Highway 99 this afternoon in which one person was injured and a California Highway Patrol vehicle was damaged.

CHP spokesman Officer Michael Bradley said a CHP officer had made a traffic stop on northbound Highway 99, just south of Florin Road, and was in the process of towing a motorcycle from the roadway shoulder at 12:20 p.m. A Toyota pickup truck driven by a 46-year-old Livermore resident was traveling on the shoulder and came upon the stopped CHP vehicle. In an effort to avoid the collision, the truck driver swerved into the traffic lanes and collided with an ADT Security van.

The collision caused the driver of the van to lose control of his vehicle. The van began to roll over as it collided with the driver's side of the CHP patrol vehicle. Bradley said the van also hit the motorcycle, which was parked in front of the patrol vehicle.
