Arthur Temblador, the 36-year-old director of soccer operations for an Elk Grove youth soccer club who was arrested Friday evening f on suspicion of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl, has been placed on administrative leave without pay by the club's Executive Board, the Board wrote in an email.
Temblador was taken into custody shortly after 9 p.m. Friday by Sacramento police officers after they spotted a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a closed medical building in the 8100 block of Timberlake Way, the Sacramento Police Department reported.
Officers found Temblador engaging in sexual activity with the 16-year-old girl , police reported.
Temblador was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on $250,000 bail. He was released on bail on Sunday.
Temblador's name has been removed from the website of the Elk Grove Everton Football Club.
"The Elk Grove Everton Football Club's Executive Board is not aware of all, and cannot comment on, the circumstances that led to the arrest of Art Temblador," the Board wrote in an email. "However, the Board has placed Mr. Temblador on administrative leave without pay for up to 30 days pending investigation. The Board will take further action as appropriate."
