Sacramento County sheriff's deputies are searching for three men suspected of robbing an Arden-Arcade Jack in the Box at gunpoint, a sheriff's department spokesman said.
The sheriff's department received a call just before 8 p.m., from a customer inside the restaurant at Arden Way and Bell Street saying that three black males wearing black clothing and masks had entered the restaurant and put a gun to his daughter's head, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos.
The caller said the men took his wallet and then robbed the business at gunpoint as well, Ramos said.
A second caller alerted sheriff's personnel that three males in dark clothing, at least one of whom had a gun, had come out of the Jack in the Box, run to the back, jumped into a green four-door vehicle and taken off northbound on Bell Street to an apartment complex, Ramos said.
That caller also provided a license plate number of the vehicle, which responding deputies located at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Bell Street, Ramos said.
Deputies waited for the suspects to return to the vehicle, Ramos said. Two males were later seen walking to the car and were detained. However, witnesses were unable to identify them as the suspects, Ramos said.
Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the robbery. Sheriff's deputies were still at the apartment complex as of 9 p.m.
