Three people were killed in Sacramento on Sunday in a rash of violence.

A hail of bullets outside a bar, a fight settled with a knife and gunfire at a house party resulted in three men dying in three different neighborhoods, law enforcement authorities reported. Homicide detectives continued to search for suspects and coroner's deputies were kept busy notifying relatives of the dead this morning.

The most recent death occurred Sunday night about 8 p.m. when an 18-year-old man was knifed in the neck outside a home in the 4600 block of Galbrath Drive in North Highlands. He was identified by coroner's deputies as Vladimer Y. Korets.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies said that Korets was with a male friend when they encountered another group. Korets and a male in the other group had words and began to fight.

During the fight, Korets was stabbed. The other combantant, also 18, was injured and transported to a hospital.

Several friends of the victims were detained at the scene for interviews by detectives. No arrests have been announced.

Coroner's deputies also this morning released the name of a man killed by gunshot at a house party in Del Paso Heights early Sunday morning. He was identified as Christopher Michael Milas, 34, of Sacramento.

Sacramento Police said five people were shot at the party. Police responded to the 3800 block of Fig Street about 3:30 a.m. and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, where Milas died.

Three other victims took themselves to the hospital.

Police investigators said all the victims were believed to be together at the party when a fight broke out, and a suspect shot all five. Police said the suspect fled the scene.

The name of the victim in the third homicide has not yet been released. That killing occurred at the Warners Rendezvous nightclub in the 7100 block of Governors Circle in the south area about 1:20 a.m.

Outside the bar, deputies found one man on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head and a crowd of up to 150 at the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died later in the day.

A second victim arrived at the hospital later Sunday and told authorities he and his vehicle were shot. His wounds were not life-threatening.

Deputies said a preliminary investigation showed about 30 rounds of ammunition were fired from multiple weapons, striking numerous vehicles at the bar in addition to the two men.

Dozens of people at the site were detained as witnesses but no suspects have been arrested and no motive for the shooting has been determined.
