At least three people reported being robbed in the 3000 block of Altos Avenue over the past week, after answering ads on Craigslist, two of them for televisions, Sacramento police reported.
One victim picked up the suspects in Roseville and drove them to Altos Avenue, where they robbed him at gunpoint.
In the other incidents, victims answering the advertisement were directed to the area, where they were robbed after meeting the purported sellers.
Four suspects in the various robberies are described as a black male in his 20s, 6 feet tall; a black or Latino male, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall; a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds; a black female in her 20s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 to 120 pounds.
Police advise those answering ads not to carry cash, always to meet in a public place - preferably where there are surveillance cameras - and never to allow sellers into your vehicle.
