The city of Roseville will sponsor a variety of free events during Roseville Community Safety Day at the Westfield Galleria on Saturday.
Free activities are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Motor officers from agencies statewide will test their skills in challenge courses and speed contests in the Police Motorcycle Skill Competition.
Kids can test their own skills on bicycles and compete for prizes on the Bicycle Challenge Course from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants must bring their own bicycles and helmets.
Roseville Police K-9 teams will give demonstrations at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and a demonstration by the Roseville and Rocklin police SWAT units is scheduled at noon.
Activities for children, including bounce houses and face painting, will be offered throughout the day, along with hands-on police and fire vehicle displays, and booths providing information about law enforcement careers.
Community Safety Day sponsors include the city of Roseville, Westfield Galleria, the Roseville Police Officer's Assocition, Roseville Police Association and Roseville Firefighters' Local 1592.
The Galleria is at 1151 Galleria Blvd.
