Davis police have arrested three suspects in connection with a Wednesday night home invasion robbery, the police department reported.
Three residents of a home in the 1400 block of Notre Dame Drive reported that two male suspects had broken in shortly before 8:30 p.m., sprayed them with a chemical and displayed what appeared to be a handgun before fleeing with the victims' property, according to a police department news release.
The victims told officers they remembered seeing a white Mitsubishi sedan cruising the neighborhood several minutes prior to the robbery, said Davis Police Lt. Paul Doroshov. At about 8:48 p.m., a Davis Police officer located a car matching that description and stopped it in the area of Lake and Covell boulevards, he said.
Officers located three occupants in the vehicle, as well as property belonging to the robbery victims, a chemical self-defense spray and an airsoft gun resembling a semi-automatic handgun, the release states.
Jared Grensted, 20, of Davis; Bryan Panzich, 23, of Winters; and Eric Panzich, 24, of Winters, were arrested, the release states. Police believe two suspects carried out the robbery and one acted as a getaway driver, Doroshov said.
The suspects were booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of various charges including burglary, conspiracy and assault, Doroshov said. All three were being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, the release states.
The victims refused medical treatment.
