Rocklin police to celebrate National Night Out

The Rocklin Police Department is heading into the city's neighborhoods Aug. 2 to celebrate the 28th annual National Night Out.

The department, along with fire department staff, city staff and city council members, is taking part in the national program that aims to increase awareness about crime prevention, support local crime prevention programs, and build partnerships among police departments and the communities they serve.

From 7 to 9 p.m., the Rocklin Police Department will be heading to block parties with city residents, bringing patrol cars, motorcycles, and fire trucks into the neighborhoods as part of the evening's festivities. The department hopes to send the message to local criminals that the community is taking a stand against crime.

To request the presence of city officials at your National Night Out party, contact Michael Nottoli at (916) 625-5416 or michael.nottoli@rocklin.ca.us. by 5 p.m. Thursday with your name, address, phone number, and the location of your event.
