Pedestrians robbed in Davis by armed gunman

Credit cards stolen during a weekend holdup in Davis have since been used in a Sacramento spending spree.

Davis police said about 1:30 a.m. Sunday a silver sedan, possible a Toyota Corolla, pulled up alongside a man and a woman in their late 20s who were walking along Alice Street near J Street.

A male passenger in the car pointed a small caliber handgun at the couple and took a wallet and a backpack. The robber and his getaway driver then fled in the car.

Neither of the robbery victims were were injured. However, credit cards stolen in the stickup have been used at businesses in Sacramento.

The stocky robber was described as Hispanic, mid-20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing a silver, hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants.
