The Sacramento Police Department seeks the public's help identifying a man wanted in connection with an attempted murder that occurred Aug. 23 on Franklin Boulevard.
Police today released a composite sketch (shown below) of the suspect and a photo of a car (below) similar to the one involved.
At 2:47 p.m. Aug. 23, officers were dispatched to a fire station in the 3700 block of 47th Avenue regarding a male who had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The victim and a friend had exited a business in the 2800 block of Franklin Boulevard and approached their vehicle, when they notice a newer white Chevy Malibu, or similar model, was parked next to them, according to a Police Department news release. They got into their vehicle and drove south on Franklin Boulevard.
A short time later, the victim noticed the same vehicle was following them and honking at them. The vehicle stopped near Fruitridge Road and the occupants yelled at the victim. One occupant of the suspect vehicle pulled out a gun and shot the victim, officials said. The friend in the victim's car sped off and took the victim to the fire station.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, who is depicted in the composite sketch, was described as male, African American, 18 to 25 years old, with a medium to dark complexion, slender build and short hair. He was clean-shaven, with puffy lips and had tattoos on his left arm. He also was wearing a white or light blue T-shirt, according to the news release.
The other occupant of the suspect vehicle was described as male, African American, 18 to 25 years old, with a medium to dark complexion, short hair, a slender face and prominent cheek bones.
