Another man has been arrested in the shocking 2007 killing of a baby and father in south Sacramento County.
Richard Noguera (photo right), 33, was arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies in connection with the Sept. 14, 2007 shooting deaths of 21-year-old Sean Aquitania and his 7-month old son, Sean Aquitania, Jr.
Noguera was arrested on a charge of suspicion of homicide at 11:30 a.m. today at a business in south Sacramento.
Earlier this week, another suspect, Donald Ortez-Lucero, 27, was booked into jail on two counts of murder in the Aquitania homicides in South Sacramento.
Ortez-Lucero is not one of two men suspected of shooting Aquitania or the baby, but is alleged to have been a participant in the home-invasion robbery and was waiting outside when the Aquitania was killed.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies have long speculated that Aquitania and his son interrupted a robbery gone bad.
Father and son were shot and killed at a house on Country Greens Court in southeast Sacramento County.
Aquitania, 21, was killed during a struggle inside the house. The baby, still buckled in his car seat, was shot in the head as the two robbers fled.
At the time, composite sketches were developed of one suspect, described as a Hispanic man wearing an Oakland A's hat and jersey. Deputies believe that Noguera is that suspect.
Detectives also believe that Noguera is a "known associate" of Ortez-Lucero. Deputies said that the two lived together in the Sacramento area at the time the father and son were killed.
Homicide detectives are searching for a third suspect -- only described as an African-American male with a round face and stocky build. Detectives believe the third suspect was inside the residence and "actively involved in the commission of this crime," according to a sheriff's department press release.
