Davis police detectives arrested two men suspected of knocking out and robbing a man who met their female friend online.
Police said that the 20-year-old man, staying with friends and family in Davis, met the woman online and invited her to visit him. When the two were walking near Covell Boulevard and Highway 113 on Tuesday the man was attacked and robbed.
The two robbers chased him into an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Shasta Drive where they struck him over the head with a "club-like" weapon, rendering him unconscious, a police press release said.
Detectives on Wednesday arrested Frederick Bryson, 18, and Terrence O'Neil, 21, both of Vacaville, on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. Some of the victim's property was recovered at the time of arrest, police said.
The female friend of the suspected robbers was not arrested. Her role in is being investigated.
