Search continues for teenager last seen at Natomas school

Sergio Jimenez.jpgThe Sacramento Police Department continues to search for a 17-year-old boy who has been missing since last week.

Police seek the community's help in locating Sergio Jimenez (pictured), who was last seen about 3 p.m. Wednesday while attending Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep High School in the 3700 block of Del Paso Road. Officers searched the surrounding area that day, and when the teenager was still missing Thrursday, they notified the media and released Jimene's photo to aid in the search.

Police say they have followed up on several tips, and officers have contacted friends and family members in the Sacramento area and other parts of California.

Anyone with information regarding Jimene's whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department's non-emergency number, (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357. Tips also may be sent via text to 274637. Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
