Sheriff's Homicide detectives have identified a suspect in the slaying death of a woman whose body was found in her apartment Saturday evening.
Detectives said they are seeking the public's health in finding Angelo Wright, 20, spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos reported today.
Sheriff's deputies found the woman's body after responding to a call at about 5:20 p.m. at the 5400 block of College Oak Drive in north Sacramento.
Authorities said they found a woman in her 40s with upper body trauma. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Ramos said late Saturday that a resident of the apartment complex was waved down by an elderly man. The man who was summoned entered the apartment and discovered the woman, Ramos said.
The elderly man, who was unable to communicate with the other man, lives in the apartment where the victim was found, Ramos said.
Wright is a black male, approximately 5-foot-7 and weighing about 165 pounds. He
has short hair and usually wears a goatee. He is known to frequent the Foothill Farms area of north Sacramento.
