Big rig overtuns, ties up Highway 65 traffic in Lincoln

Transportation officials expect to reopen Highway 65 though Lincoln at around 1 a.m. after an semi truck with a load of onions overturned Thursday evening.

Both northbound and southbound Highway 65 was closed through Lincoln about 8 p.m. Thursday evening as a result of the accident.

Southbound 65 was closed at Ferrari Ranch Road. Northbound traffic was closed at the Twelve Bridges exit, a news release from the city states.

The truck was unable to manage a 20 mph curve in place because of ongoing construction.

Information on when the roadway would be cleared was not yet available.
