Missing Yuba County man located in Sacramento

A Yuba County man reported missing last week has been found safe.

Leslie Scott Jones, 44, of Browns Valley was located by the Sacramento Police Department early Monday afternoon, according to a Yuba County Sheriff's Office news release. Officials said arrangements were made to transport him back to Yuba County.

Jones was reported missing Dec. 22. He had last been seen about a week earlier when he left his home on foot and was believed heading for Marysville. Sheriff's officials said he frequently hitchhikes in the Yuba-Sutter area. They said no foul play was suspected in his disappearance.
