Rocklin woman arrested after craft store is robbed

A 49-year-old Rocklin woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly robbed a local craft store.

Donna Marie Clayton was charged with robbery and resisting arrest after being picked up by Rocklin police at about 1:53 p.m. Sunday.

The incident began with a call to police from the Beads and Treasures store at 3101 Sunset Boulevard, authorities said.

The officer arrived and witnessed a woman matching the suspect description walking near the store, police said. The woman fled when approached by the officer and resisted arrest.

Once handcuffed, she was identified as the robber by a store employee, police said.
